Professional Film Development & High-Resolution Scanning
Your film. Beautifully developed.
We develop 35mm and medium-format photographic film using professional C-41, ECN-2 and black-and-white processing, supported by advanced digital capture.
Our development and scanning packages include high-resolution JPEG and 16-bit TIFF files, giving photographers the detail and flexibility to edit, share, exhibit or print their work.
Our established 35mm scanning workflow delivers approximately 60MP files, while our 120 UltraScan service offers 200MP+ capture for medium-format images where the frame size supports it.
Whether you are photographing everyday life, producing commissioned work or preparing images for exhibition, our aim is to deliver negatives and digital files that realise the potential of your film.
We accept postal orders from throughout the UK, with 24/7 local drop-off available in Leamington Spa.
Museum, Gallery & Archival Film Digitisation
Preserving photographic collections for future generations.
Liquid Light Lab provides specialist digitisation of photographic negatives, transparencies and large-format film for museums, galleries, archives, universities and cultural heritage organisations.
Our dedicated archival imaging system combines precision-engineered film carriers, high-resolution capture and professional 99 CRI illumination to support accurate, consistent reproduction of original photographic material.
We accommodate formats from 35mm and medium format through to 4×5, 5×7 and 8×10-inch negatives and transparencies, alongside selected specialist and panoramic formats.
Projects are specified around the needs of the collection, including preservation-quality 16-bit TIFF masters, colour management, file naming, metadata requirements and derivatives for research, cataloguing, publication or exhibition.
From individual historically significant originals to larger collections, our approach places the accuracy of the photographic record at the centre of the digitisation process.
Technical Expertise Behind Every Image
Photography doesn’t end when the shutter closes.
Film chemistry, development control, optical performance, colour reproduction and the quality of digital capture all influence the final image.
At Liquid Light Lab, these disciplines form a connected workflow. Our work brings together practical photographic experience, specialist processing knowledge and precision imaging techniques.
We are a Candido Technical Partner & Ambassador, contributing technical expertise and film testing within the analogue photography industry.
Our relationships with manufacturers, film suppliers and photographic specialists help keep our working methods informed by developments across contemporary analogue imaging.
